Hey guys, i have a reasonable size collection of ferns, having started collecting when i was young, 12-13, a lot are unidentified. I was just wondering if you wouldn't mind helping me out. Instead of uploading the photos here you can view all of them here:

If you could respond with any id's in this thread that would be greatly appreciated.

Dankt. Rowan.

hello Rowan,
it is better you write in english. The german translation is very bad... I am german and I better understand your english as this kind of german :) .
I had a look at your photos... most of them are possible to indentify... all for the genus and most of the species or variety, too.

Nr. 15 Dryopteris erythrosora
Nr. 14 Polystichum setiferum 'Proliferum'
Nr. 13 could be the same? at any rate a Polystichum
Nr. 12 Dryopteris affinis
Nr. 11 Dryopteris cycadina or Dryopteris namegate (this 2 species are looking very similar)
Nr. 10 I think it is Polystichum rigens but I am not sure.. at any rate a Polystichum
Nr. 9 Dryopteris dilatata 'Crispa Whiteside'
Nr. 8 Woodsia or may be Cystopteris... I think it is Woodsia obtusa
Nr. 7 Polystichum .. no idea which species
Nr. 6 and 6(2) is Athyrium filix-femia 'Pseudovictoriae'
Nr. 5 Polystichum luctuosum
Nr. 4 I think this is a species of Woodwardia
Nr. 3 I think this is also a Polystichum luctuosum
Nr. 2 Woodwardia ? may be fimbriata
Nr. 1 Woodwardia radicans or unigemmata (this 2 species are looking very similar as well)

I hope this is helpful for you

regards
Athyriana

Many thanks for all the help, i did a lot of work to the ferns today including splitting the Dryopteris dilatata 'Crispa Whiteside' into 3 plants.

Cheers guys

The fern with the name Athyrium Ghost you have isn't this one. This is Athyrium otophorum ssp. okanum. The real Ghost looks nearly like Athyrium filix-femina. The difference is only the color. It is grey with wine-red veins.
Ghost is a hybrid between Athyrium filix-femina and Athyrium niponicum 'Metallicum'.
