My Heli-mus is still standing on the balcony.
Allthough we have one of the warmest winter ever known, 2 times the temperature dropped down to -7°C (or even a bit bellow).
The 1st time the meterologist forecast only -5°C and I didn't put it in the house, second time the forecast already mentioned -7°C therefore Heli-mus was placed 2 days indoor.

The picture was taken 1-2 weeks after this deep temperatures!

lg

Definitely beautifull, ... although in some strange way :D
Should I place a picture beneath my?
To let them know how they have to look like?

Peter

2 Update:
I bought the eBay offer off Heli mu:
Image

But it doesn't look like my other.
It don't have the any pattern neither on the peduncle.
I ask the seller afterwards how it was grown and he told me in polytunnel to keep the temperatures above 5°C.
Which is also not necessary.

I doubt what I realy bought ....

greetings

Hi Peter,

the leaf shape matches H.m.
And the pattern of the penducle might vary in the species.
BTW, I guess what you see is the petiole (Blattstiel) without a pattern.
Have a look here:
http://phototheque.1000wallpapers.com/g ... rus+1.html

and note that the petioles are light green while the peducle (Blütenstiel) shows the pattern.
Didn't the seller have a picture of his flowering plant in his auction?

I would not worry too much...., you have to wait for the flower anyway...

Good growing,
Bernhard.

Yes, but if you look at the first pcitures here in thsi thread you will notice that mine even the petioles have patterns.

But it seems I have to wait some years ;)

Seems that the Heli-mus are starting their resting period.
I hope I stopped watering early enough.

greetings
Peter

Hi Peter,

good to read that they did well this year.
Will you share some pics of the tubers?

Good growing,
Bernhard.
