Neverthless does anyone know anything about the culture?
Currently its start sprouting in an 8 cm pot.

Aye, Peter
I made similar Experience with that Genius.
6 Korns of Seed i received from an german Internetsource at mid-October
2005.
Placing them under "WARM" Conditions, the actual Result is only one (1) thrieving, and it looks like bad chance further on.
:(

I need still a lot more information!

The 2nd ist sprouting. Seems that they hurry up :D

---
Standort: sonnig oder nur hell?
min. Topfgrösse, wie schnell wächst sie bzw Wurzeln/Rhizome?
Bei durchlässigen Boden, nehm ich an sensibel gegen Staunässe.
Wie siehts bei etwas trockeneren Verhältnissen aus?
---
Placement: sunny or just bright?
Pot size: how fast does it grow the root respectively roots/rhizomes?
If it needs a soil with good drainage, it is sensible to too much water.
What about dry conditions?

thanks
Peter

Hello Peter,

ich have a plant growing from seed from the same source....

Image

This plant is one out of three seeds and the only one growing well, the two others are still very small. Maybe I should switch to another substrate and a warmer place in winter.

The plant is placed in a wintergarten, probably too cold in during winter times, down to 15, sometimes 10 °C.

Substrate: Einheitserde (70 % "white" peat, 30 % clay)

BTW, I do not remember precisely when I got the seeds, but the big plant is at least 5 years old. I might be bigger, if it had been cultivated warmer...

Good growing,
Bernhard.
