Ich befürchte da braucht man sehr gute Beziehungen um an das Material heranzukommen.

Seed - we have no information on this species but suggest sowing the seed in early spring in a cold frame. Tja leider mal wieder alles in Englisch.
Das meiste verstehe ich zwar auch aber eben nicht alles :oops: .

Naja der Gärtner wird schon wissen wie er es am besten versuchen wird.
Hat ja auchganz andere möglichkeiten wie ich.

Schade das es keine Samen gibt aber evtl. nächstes Jahr.

Werde den mal die Tage besuchen fahren und ein bissel fachsimpeln und mir das gute Stück mal anschauen.

Samen?? Wie alt ist denn die Alerce? Ich bilde mit ein irgendwo stand, dass sie erst nach 70 Jahren erwachsen ist?
In Vitro?? Hmm, muss man bei in Vitro nicht erst eine Art Keimzelle isolieren?
Wenn Du Dich damit auskennst wäre das eine Möglichkeit vielleicht. Du brauchst nur ein dünnes Zweigerl und könntest ein dutzend Bäume züchten.

I am sorry but I do not know if Fitzroya is grown in the German or Austrian Botanic Gardens. Most have searchable databases on their web sites but my German is not good enough to help. We have a project on re establishment of Fitzroya with Universidad de Valdivia in Chile. I have attached a list of our accessions. The trees have to be over 20 years old before they cone, though we can artificially induce cones using growth hormones. The trees are sometimes dioecious and sometimes not! Hope that this is of help.

Ich werde mal abwarten wie das mit meiner Quelle hier ausschaut.
Würde die dann wenn zu großgeworden in einem kleinen Wald
versuchen auszupflanzen.
In der Hoffnung das sie es überlebt.

Schade das ich nicht so gut Englisch kann :oops:
